Tom Wilson has this to say on FGM: “Surround Around Sound are the newest faces on Bucharest’s burgeoning nu-disco scene. Spinning everything from deep house and low-slung electro to 80s boogie and shuffled disco, this collective of three music obsessives has suddenly made its way out of the bedroom and onto the stage. Despite being real newcomers to the scene, they’ve got an armoury of tracks that would put a lot of Bucharest’s stalwarts to shame, and bring with them an enthusiasm for performing that’s almost contagious. If you’ve not heard of them yet, we’ll forgive you. In six months time, though, it might be a very different matter…”
